Petrovietnam attends Vietnam – Japan Economic Policy Dialogue 08/06/2016
At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, from 26th to 28th May 2016, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Japan and attended the extended G7 Summit in Mie, Japan. Accompanying the Prime Minister were Minister, Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung; Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung; Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat; Chairman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Committee for External Affairs Tran Van Hang; Assistant to Prime Minister Nguyen Duy Hung and representatives of several ministries, branches and localities.
Petrovietnam delegation accompanying the Prime Minister was led Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Joining the delegation were Vice President Do Chi Thanh, head of divisions, administration office and member units of the Group. During the visit, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, attended Vietnam – Japan Economic Policy Dialogue and sessions of the extended G7 Summit; had bilateral meetings with leaders of the countries attending the Summit. The Prime Minister’s visit aimed to implement the policy for external affairs of the Party and State of Vietnam, continue developing Vietnam - Japan partnership, and contribute to the peace, prosperity, cooperation for development in the region and the world.
Petrovietnam Chairman Nguyen Quoc Khanh exchanges with Japanese partners May 2016, on the sideline of Vietnam - Japan Economic Policy Dialogue Summit in Nagoya, Chairman Nguyen Quoc Khanh and Petrovietnam delegation had a meeting with Mr. Michiaki Hirose, CEO of Tokyo Gas. The leaders had an opportunity to discuss about investment issues between Petrovietnam/ PV Gas and Tokyo Gas there. Tokyo Gas expressed the desire for extensive cooperation with Petrovietnam in general and PV GAS in particular, particularly in the development of LNG value chain in Vietnam. Chairman Nguyen Quoc Khanh appreciated Tokyo Gas for its reputation and experience, warmly welcomed the investment of Tokyo Gas in the oil and gas sector in Vietnam. The two parties emphasized the importance of the cooperation and establishment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) trading company in Vietnam, plan for investment in the construction and operation of Thi Vai LNG warehouse project as well as the expansion and management of LNG warehouse infrastructure, development of Vietnam LNG market in the future. Also at the Summit, Petrovietnam leaders had a meeting with Mr. Hidetoshi Ohashi, Vice President of JX NOEX, a longtime partner of Petrovietnam in Vietnam. Leaders of Petrovietnam and PV Gas had a courtesy meeting with Japan’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and other senior officials. |
